High society market
There are street markets in many cities around the world. Most of them sell different kinds of fresh food items: fruits and vegetables. In some the range of goods includes clothing, home décor and textile goods as well, though this is less common in European cities.
The market you see in this series however is rather unique; at least I haven’t seen anything like it. True to its name, the high society market sells a range of products apprized by socialites. You can find everything from Louis Vuitton bags, Armani underwear, Versace sunglasses, Calvin Klein pants, to Gucci accessories.
Still can’t find the label you’re looking for? Just give them the name and it’ll be there next week. Fake labels for fake socialites and what’s more, for a bargain price.
Sosyete pazarı
Dünyanın pek çok şehrinde düzenli kurulan pazar yerlerine rastlanır. Genelde ‘street market’ denen bu mekanlarda çoğunlukla, sebze-meyve ağırlıklı, gıda ürünleri satılır. Avrupa ülkelerinde daha az rastlanmakla birlikte, bu pazar yerlerinin bazılarında giysi, ev tekstili, dekorasyon ürünlerinin de satıldığı görülür.
Ancak bu seride gördüğünüz pazar yerinin benzerine ben henüz rastlamadım. Adı ‘sosyete pazarı’ ve bunu sosyetenin rağbet ettiği markaların satışını yapmasına borçlu. Neler yok ki: Louis Vuitton çantalar, Armani iç çamaşırlar, Versace gözlükler, Calvin Klein pantolonlar, Gucci aksesuarlar…..
